Fall 1999 As you most probably have noticed, so am I busy remaking this site. Though job, no time, so I take it bit by bit, and try to make the content prior to the layout. I would love to have the time to scan some original graphics for example. Now I canīt even get the scanner to work under Windows 2000, as the driver install program seems to be badly written. Something which is OK with Win 95/98, but then they crash now and then. I canīt say that about Windows 2000. It really is perfectly stable. If your favorite apps will be Windows 2000 ready, then you definetely should change OS in february when it is released. That is, if the US government doesnīt stop it as being too good. 2000-01-08 I wrote this in the fall of 1999, now I have done some more testing on Windows 2000. It seems to be obvious that one have to wait, mabe a year, to upgrade. Thatīs because Windows 2000 requires the software to be written according to Microsofts specifications for Windows 2000. Otherwise thereīs to many programs malfunctioning. In a year from now, I guess that most software and hardware makers have upgraded or released patches for their software and drivers. When that is a fact, there is no reason to not upgrade. In the meantime; Windows Millennium will be realeased during summer ( 98 SP-3 ). From what it looks right now, it seems to be the ultimate home/gamers OS, and will probably last til the time we switch over to 64-bit computing. Windows 2000 is ready for 64-bit. Anyway, the near future of computing looks no less exciting than what it was... SeeYa//Per
