![]() The "PRO Tools" studio-desk is impressive, but you could do with less, for example a ordinary PC loaded with Cubase or Cakewalk. And with a decent audio editor like Cool Edit 2000. Let the sound through a SoundBlaster Live! soundcard. A small mixer for audio input, and mabe some midi-cables to your OLD synths, which of course sounds inferior to your PC. For those Techno sounds, load your PC with Propellerheads ReBirth and connect a midi-controller keyboard for your Jam-sessions....Voila! Your setup begins to look just like mine.... |
This page is the newest addition to the "Distort"-site. Itīs called the "How to"-page. How to what ? You guessed it: here I will be a little more specific on "how to" actually record and produce music on a PC. What hardware and software is best suited ? What usually goes wrong ? How to make the most with the least effort ( thatīs why we invented computers, wasnīt it ? ) As this is a new page, it will take some time before the content finds itīs way here. If you check back now and then, you will notice the changes. Itīs not forbidden to contribute. If you have some home studio related stuff you think others should know about:mail me
